ACCUMULATING SETS
CONVERTING SOURCE OUTPUT TYPE AND OPTIMIZING HEAT DISTRIBUTION OVER TIME
Modern, well-insulated houses feature low heat loss and do not require high thermal output compared to traditional homes. To prevent overheating caused by conventional hot-air fireplace inserts, a need arose to reduce the heat output produced by the fireplace insert (the heat source), accumulate it, and optimize its release over time. This requirement can be achieved by combining a heating appliance (a hot-air fireplace insert) with an accumulation fireclay foundation (ASZ) – an accumulation structure made of Akumol material. The excellent accumulation capacity and high thermal conductivity of Akumol ensure an even, efficient, and time-distributed heat transfer.
Combining an Akumol structure with a fireplace insert converts the hot-air output of the source into radiant heat. The thermal output of the source will be optimized and redistributed over time, meaning there will be no rapid spike and drop in output within a short period. The house will not be overheated by hot air, but instead comfortably heated long-term by healthier and more pleasant radiant heat.
The benefits include thermal comfort, maximum utilization and enhancement of the fireplace insert’s potential through accumulation, and a healthier, cozier, and more pleasant home free of hot and overheated air.
The installation of accumulating sets is more complex, which is why we offer a FREE CONSULTATION AND INDIVIDUAL APPROACH to solving your specific requirements.
Below are examples of „ASZ“ for various shape designs (L, O, R90, 2R90, O/R90) for the following types of fireplace inserts:
EKO »»» – 40mm thick Akumol – 2 rows of plates above the lintel/portal
CHOPOK »»» – 50mm thick Akumol – 3 rows of plates above the lintel/portal
STABIL »»» – 60mm thick Akumol – 4 rows of plates above the lintel/portal
KPL+VERTIKAL »»» – 60mm thick Akumol – 2 rows of plates above the lintel/portal.
Basic design: accumulation casing made of Akumol (40/50/60), refractory concrete bearing slab, bearing fill – clay, calcium silicate insulation board (30), chamotte mortar, steel plinth base (120 mm), cover frame, seal, flue pipe – top outlet.
